I had alot of fun designing these Owl gift bags and I think they turned out really cute.

The little bear is one of my favorites so I had to make up a set of Milk Cartons with him on it. These would be great for any time of year.

New Shop launched...

I have created an new shop for my digital downloads, though I have not had enough time to load the content and some new things. I will start with the Easter printables and upload some Valentine content as I get it finished.

I will be moving all of the handmade items I used to show in my cart to a Gallery. Once this is complete you will be able to see samples of my work and pictures of some custom orders I completed.

Tomorrow I should have a sneak peek of a Valetine's Day project or two I've been working on.

Valentine Card Front with Repper Pattern

I just wanted to show you what you can do with the pattern paper made with Repper. The tiles can make a seamless repeating pattern. I used one of the tiles, a dog from a Nitwit Collections set and a heart filled with a colour taken from the background.

Forgot to tell you all about the presents I got for Christmas. I got a Silhouette Cameo and some new software call Repper.

I haven't had a chance to play with my Cameo - that will definately be high on my list. However I have played with Repper. It makes amazing patterns and seamless tiles about of just about any image you have on your computer. Below are a few tiles I made using the program. If this intests you, the link is a the top left - Repper Patterns. They have an online demo that will give you a good idea of what this software can do.

I've been busy creating crafts for Christmas craft sales and orders. I'm done now, for the most part, and get back to making new printables for you to download.

Today I've started Valentine printables - gift bags and boxes with cute bear and hearts. When I started I found a number of items that I didn't complete for Christmas. I guess I'll have a head start for next year!

The first thing I'm going to do is to write a list. Not just the printables I plan to create, but also all the thinkg I want to get done by the end of January. It's a long list but I hope this will keep me focused. I also hope I have a few surprises that will make all of my friends and customers happy.

The first thing on my list for printables is to assemble and photograph the things I created today. One of the items is new freebie. You will be able to download it for a short time from this blog and then it will be exclusively available at Aimee Asher. Watch for it this week.

New Milk Cartons I am working on...

Here is a quick pick of the files I am currently working on. I hope to release the sets over the next few day, starting later today with a couple of new milk carton printables. My favorite is the Santa carton (top centre) and there several more designs to match this one.

The Elf Gift Bags will be bundled in a set that includes the bags, cocoa packets and chocolate bar wrappers.

Peeking out from under the Santa carton is one of two petal boxes and I am planning to release as Freebies. Watch for them.

I am also working on releasing cutting files for the milk carton and fancy gable box so you can use your Silhouette and Print & Cut.

Since I am still working on my Holiday Word Art set, I thought I might throw up a file to get you excited to see what I come up with once I am finished.

This is just one example of what's coming:

Cut it out of vinyl, paper, card stock, etc. Apply it to a mirror, a door, a scrapbook page, a card. Download the SVG (Right click and Save Link as) for Sure Cuts A Lot 2 or the Studio file for Silhouette Studio.

The event includes a visual talk about subversive embroidery and yarn bombing, as well as a book signing and stitch ‘n’ bitch. I intend to scan pictures of children in and make some albums. I intend to make some chipboard albums for my grandsons and mail them to the UK (after the postal strike is finished). I always intend to get so much done but the weekend gets away from me. It's now supper time on Sunday and I have laundry to do for my work week, the floors to wash and the bathrooms to clean. I'd rather craft. So here I am at my computer sharing some files I posted in various sites I sell from. They will be available on Winnipeg Crafts this evening. There is even a free Canada Day card.

First I have to say, I am simply AMAZED. I have 14 followers! Last time I looked I had two. Thank you to everyone for signing up to follow me. Before my followers get to be too many I will be checking each of your blogs and will try to thank you individualy.

I've been working on a number of things for digital download - designing new boxes and making samples. As a sneak peek here is a picture of some of the samples laying all over my table. Watch for new things being released over the next week or so.

I have begun uploading my files (printable downloadable crafts) on the Aimee Asher site. I'm so excited that my designs will reach more people, people I know from the board at pcCrafter.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this was a good choice for me. I am doing very well at one of the other sites that offer my designs - it's been around for quite some time and has a good following.

Another site I'm at seems to be new and my sales are a little slower.

All said and done, I am having fun doing what I love to do - playing with graphics and my computer.

4 Little Chick Egg Holders

I've been having fun designing egg holders for Easter. It brings back my childhood and the memories of egg hunts, fuzzy little chicks and big chocolate bunnies.

When I went to take this picture I found that my husband had eaten more eggs that I thought. I was down to two only. I left them white as I'm not sure he would have been happy to find coloured eggs when he went to make breakfast ;o)

I just completed a cute little Purple Duck Basket. It will be on sale in my shop tomorrow night. It would make a nice little Easter treat basket or a favor basket for a baby shower. I will be making more items to go with this baby theme.

Freebies - Gel Text

I've been playing around again today when I should be doing my housework. I started my making some gold alphbets but got diverted. This isn't unusual for me.

What I did complete were a couple of words with gel lettering. Select the image below and it will open in a new tab or window. Right click on the result and save the PNG file. I would appreciate a post if you do download the file and I would love to see what you make with it.

The words and colours I used made me think of summer - the snow will be gone soon I hope. Enjoy!

It's about time...

And I guess the lack of it ;o) I am beginning my blog and it's only been two years since I started.

My intentions are always good but, this time, I have made a promise to myself - I will update this blog at least once every two weeks. I will share my crafts and instruction with anyone that wants to read my blog.

First let me introduce myself and give you and idea of the crafts I am interested in. My name is Carol. I live in Canada and have done most of my life. I am married to love of my life and we raised 5 children together. I now have two grandsons and another grandchild on the way.

I have been crafting for as long as I can remember. I love sewing, embroidery, knitting, paper crafts, to name a few. I worked for 10 years in the IT business with a focus on the Internet. Needless to say I love computers and all related electronic devices and the software that goes with them. I have a Babylock embroidery/sewing machine, a Cricut Expression, a Silhouette and several kinds of printers.

Over the next little while, I will be cleaning my craft room and playing with all that I find. This includes a video camera, the die cutting machines, my stash of graphics (mainly from pcCrafter) and whatever software I have. After all, I have to clean up the computer too!

I hope to 'interview' my husband on the subject of living with a craftaholic. He's the one that bought me the interview microphone. Watch for this video in early February.

Now, all I have to do is keep my promise and post some pictures and tutorials. Fingers crossed.
